As far as I'm personally concerned, at 30 inch the shisha is definitely "coming of age". This size looks fine, smokes fine, and is still relatively easy to clean. What also pleases me about 30 inch hookahs (and slightly above) is that the bowl with coals is on just the right height to be easily reached, which comes in handy when some ashes need to be removed, or a piece of charcoal should be added.
