A little before your visit
Terms &
conditions.
Our booking terms and house policies, to help you enjoy your time in the Garden.
Last updated
1. Visiting the Garden
Everyone aged 18 or over is welcome. You do not need a Garden Rewards membership to visit, and there is no dress code.
Please bring an original, valid photo ID: a passport or driving licence, including a provisional licence. Photocopies are not accepted. Last entry is midnight. See our opening times when planning your visit.
2. Reservations & cancellations
Reservations are handled through Hostme within this website. Please check the booking details and any specific conditions before confirming; your reservation is confirmed when you receive confirmation from Hostme or the Garden team.
- Standard reservations allow two hours from the booked time. Arriving late reduces the time available. After 15 minutes, your table may be released and the cancellation charge disclosed at booking may apply.
- Booking is free. Cancel or request changes at least 24 hours before your reservation to avoid a late-cancellation charge. Additional guests are subject to availability.
- For cancellations within 24 hours or missed reservations, the fee shown before you confirm your booking may apply.
- If guest numbers fall within 24 hours of the booking, the original agreed party size and minimum spend of £10 per person remain the basis of the reservation, subject to the fair-charges provision below.
- Please return your table at the end of your slot. Where another reservation is waiting, an overstay charge of £15 per person may apply if disclosed and agreed at booking, subject to the fair-charges provision below.
Cancellation, reduced-party and overstay charges must be reasonable and reflect the loss caused, taking account of costs saved and any replacement booking. They are not automatic penalties. Contact us if you need a breakdown or wish to query a charge.
If we need to change or cancel a reservation because we cannot accommodate it, we will contact you to discuss an alternative or refund payments for services we cannot provide. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
3. Payments & additional charges
The lead booker is responsible for settling the table’s bill. Any charge to a card held for the reservation must be covered by the authorisation given at booking and permitted by law.
- One card payment is accepted per table, or up to two for larger groups. We cannot split the bill into individual guest bills.
- Bringing a birthday cake carries a £10 charge per booking. Please let the team know in advance.
- A discretionary 10% cover charge is added to the bill. This charge is optional; please ask the team if you would like it removed.
Check the menu and your booking confirmation for applicable prices and any agreed minimum spend before ordering or booking.
4. Garden Rewards & offers
Garden Rewards is an optional subscription managed by ATH Rewards. Your chosen plan’s sign-up terms explain benefit release, redemption, Loyalty Card points or stamps, discounts, renewals and cancellation. Please review them before subscribing and show your available reward to the team before ordering.
Groupon vouchers are subject to the dates, booking instructions, availability and inclusions on the purchased voucher. Mention Groupon when reserving and bring your voucher. Offers and membership discounts do not combine unless the specific offer permits it.
5. Events, venue hire & hotel stays
Seasonal packages and filming rates shown on this website are guides for enquiry. Final menus, prices, inclusions, deposits, access times and cancellation terms are agreed in your written quotation or booking confirmation before you commit.
Madonna Halley Hotel accommodation is booked separately and is subject to the hotel’s own terms and availability.
6. Safety & consideration
Please treat our staff, fellow guests and surroundings with respect. Abuse, threatening behaviour and illegal drugs, including cannabis, are not permitted. Serious misconduct may result in refusal of entry, being asked to leave or a ban. Contact the team if you wish to raise a concern about a decision.
Shisha is optional; guests joining us just for food or drinks are welcome. For guests smoking shisha, our policy is one shisha between two people.
Hot coals and heaters are used in the Garden. Keep clothing and belongings clear, follow the team’s safety guidance and ask a member of staff to handle hot equipment. Report any incident immediately. Guests are responsible for damage they cause deliberately or through negligence.
Tell the team about allergies before ordering. We will discuss ingredients with you, but cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. Alcohol is served alongside a meal, in accordance with our service policy.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory consumer rights are not restricted.
7. Parking & our neighbours
Parking is limited. Check current signs and restrictions, and keep driveways and dropped kerbs clear. We are in a residential area: please leave quietly and avoid gathering outside the front of the building.
8. Your information
Our privacy notice explains how this website handles bookings, enquiries, applications, subscriptions and cookie preferences. Newsletter sign-up is optional and separate from a reservation or rewards membership. Booking, payment and membership providers also explain their own terms when you use their services.
9. Questions or concerns?
Please contact the Garden team with your booking reference, visit date and details of your enquiry. We will help clarify the policy or look into any concern.
